HI782-25 Marine Nitrate High Range Checker® Reagents (25 Tests) by Hanna Instruments is a high-quality reagent kit designed specifically for use with the HI782 Marine Nitrate High Range Checker HC. This refill pack includes 25 individual reagent packets that allow users to perform accurate and reliable nitrate testing in saltwater aquariums.
Nitrate is a crucial parameter in marine systems, as it is one of the final products of the nitrogen cycle. Elevated nitrate levels can lead to excess algae growth, stress in fish and invertebrates, and poor coral coloration or health. Monitoring nitrate is essential in all saltwater aquariums, especially in reef tanks where maintaining stable nutrient levels is critical for coral growth and long-term system stability.
The HI782-25 Marine Nitrate High Range Checker® Reagents are designed for ease of use and consistency. Each reagent packet is pre-measured, eliminating the need for measuring spoons or liquid solutions, and ensuring each test is as accurate as the last. To perform a test, fill the cuvette with 10 ml of aquarium water, insert it into the HI782 Checker to zero the device, then add the contents of one reagent packet. After shaking the solution to mix thoroughly, reinsert the cuvette into the Checker, and in a few minutes, the nitrate level will be displayed on the digital screen in parts per million (ppm).
This reagent kit is ideal for aquarists managing high-nutrient systems, fish-only tanks, or mixed reefs where higher nitrate concentrations are present or tolerated. Having an ample supply of reagents on hand ensures uninterrupted monitoring and supports consistent water quality management over time.
With Hanna Instruments HI782-25, users can confidently track nitrate levels and make informed decisions about feeding, filtration, and nutrient export methods. The convenience, precision, and reliability of these reagents make them a valuable part of any saltwater aquarium maintenance routine, supporting healthy livestock and balanced water parameters.
